Tower Building
Building is a playful way for children to develop problem-solving skills, learn math vocabulary, and strengthen hand-eye coordination. Block building, stacking, and creating structures of any kind is also a wonderful way for children to build their independent play skills, be creative, and develop a strong sense of self esteem and achievement.
Materials
- 3 square cardboard cutouts
- 12 toilet paper rolls
- Construction paper
- Glue stick
How To
- Cut each piece of cardboard into identically shaped squares.
- Cut strips of construction paper to match the length of the toilet paper roll.
- Glue the construction paper to the toilet paper roll for all of them.
- Trace the toilet paper roll on each piece of colored construction paper and cut out circles.
- Glue the cut-out construction paper circles to the square shaped cardboards, with one color in each corner.
Tips with Miss Charlotte
You can make this as tall as you like. For each layer, add another four rolls of toilet paper and a cardboard cutout.
