Turkey Counting with Dot Stickers
Offering wall activities requires children to use their whole arm, which works different muscles than sitting at a desk. Encourage your child to peel dot stickers—it doesn’t matter the color—and match the number on each feather. Ask your child to tell you the number on the feather, count each dot, and when finished, retell you the number! This works on number recognition, one-to-one correspondence, and subitizing (a fancy word for when you’re able to look at dots and know the number without counting)!
