Rainbow Corn

Materials

  • White Corn Kernels (White will provide a brighter color, but you can always use yellow if you can’t get white)
  • Food Coloring
  • Ziploc Bag
  • Trays (to dry the corn on)
  • Paper Towels
  • Hand Sanitizer

How To

  • Divide the corn evenly into the Ziploc bags depending on the number of colors you wish to use and the amount of corn you have.
  • Add a few squirts of hand sanitizer, enough to lightly coat the kernels and color dye.
  • Start with a few drops of color dye, mix, and see how it looks. You can always add more to darken the color!
  • Let the corn kernels sit in the bag for about ten minutes, and then lay them on a tray that’s covered with a paper towel.
  • Leave these out overnight to fully dry.
