Cauldron Explosion

Set out the cauldrons with a dropper—If you don’t have a dropper, you can set out a small pitcher/cup with vinegar to pour. Encourage your child explore what happens when you mix the baking soda and vinegar!

Materials

Baking soda
Glitter
Color dye
White vinegar
Dropper (and cup for vinegar)
Cauldrons

How To

Get your cauldron ready—You can find cauldrons at your local Dollar Tree, or simply make your own by wrapping black craft tape around empty yogurt cups.
Fill it ¾ the way full with baking soda.
Sprinkle glitter on top (We suggest green glitter with orange color dye and orange glitter with green color dye).
Add about five drops of color dye.
