Stick Shape Sorting
This is a fun activity for you and your little one to go on a nature hunt when it’s cold and the trees are bare. Encourage your child to look high and low to find all sorts of broken twigs and sticks, and take them home! This is a wonderful activity to work on problem solving skills and spatial reasoning, while also getting their creative mind running.
- Spatial reasoning
- After your nature walk, go home and trace out the shapes using a pencil.
- Trace over the pencil lines with a dark and thick marker.
- Set the sticks and twigs out for your little one and encourage them to find the matches.
