DIY Turkey Popsicle Sticks

I can’t stress enough how valuable it is to just watch and let the child lead! I set this DIY turkey popsicle stick activity up for my little one, expecting her to count out feathers.  She began by color matching, then made arms and legs and continued on with this activity telling stories about each turkey.  What is set up to be a math activity quickly became a playful story-telling (and math) activity!
