DIY Weaving Board
Encourage your child go “over and under” with the needle and “back and forth.” This DIY weaving board is a wonderful activity to encourage focus, build fine motor muscles and hand-eye coordination!
Materials
- Cardboard
- String
- Child Size Sewing Needle
- Scissors
How To
- Cut a large heart out of the cardboard
- Make vertical slits around it, trying your best to match the lines at the top and bottom---it does not have to be perfect!
- Wrap the sting around the board from top to bottom.
- Cut a piece of string, tie it on the sewing needle, and tape the end to the back of the heart board
