Alphabet Flower Box

Set out your DIY box with the flowers on the side and encourage your child to match the letters! This craft for kids is educational and engaging; children love the fun colors, and won’t even notice that they’re working on their letter recognition skills. This is a great project to help your child get familiar with their ABC’s, alongside their Online Preschool lessons.

Materials

  • Green painters tape
  • Markers
  • Flower stickers
  • Green popsicle sticks
  • Cardboard box
  • Knife

How To

  • Wrap the topside of a box with green tape—it’s easier than painting. Plus paint chips, but this won't!
  • Using a knife, cut 26 slits—only large enough to fit one popsicle stick.
  • Below each slit, write the letters of the alphabet.
  • Write each letter of the alphabet on separate flowers.
  • Attach flowers to the green popsicle sticks, and encourage your child to match the letters.

Tips with Miss Charlotte

Miss Charlotte - Teacher Playgarden

Opt for glitter flower stickers if your child loves sparkle! Hands-on activities like this one are crucial to your child’s educational development, and I highly recommend that they complete projects like these in tandem with their Online Preschool lessons. This is a great project to get started on once your child has already completed some Daily Lessons, to help test their newly-developing reading skills!
