Pumpkin Seed Counting Math Activity for Preschoolers
Carving pumpkins for Halloween and not quite sure how to make the most of your leftovers? Try pumpkin seed counting! This is a great preschool activity to practice counting, number identification, and one-to-one correspondence.
Put down the number of pumpkin seeds on each image, and have your little one trace the number. If you need an alternative to seeds, you can make your own pumpkin seeds by cutting shapes from craft foam or felt, or you can even try this activity using candy corn!
Counting pumpkin seeds is always a hit with young children, especially after acting as a helper while you carve the pumpkins! Reinforce those early math skills by printing out this free preschool worksheet below.

We recommend completing it after reading one of our favorite Fall books, How Many Seeds In a Pumpkin?
